Here come the knuckle-dragging mini Ice Age deniers
I’m having a little fun with the title (above) of this blog post.
As a rule, I don’t use words like “knuckle-dragging” and “deniers”, because doing so is a tactic used by dishonest propagandists.
I was surprised to see a story in the news this week about a coming mini Ice Age, because it runs contrary to the reigning pseudo-scientific quasi-religious metanarrative of “climate change” (or: “man-made global warming”).
I knew it wouldn’t be long before the climate change true believers wheeled out one of their mainstream media apologists to debunk the mini Ice Age hypothesis.
Such an apologist appeared yesterday, via an article published on The Washington Post’s website (see: “No, Earth is not heading toward a ‘mini ice age’” linked below).
The theory of sun cycles causing mini Ice Ages is not a new theory and is certainly worth investigating.
Only fanatical true believers in “climate change” would feel the need to dismiss and discredit such a theory — and its proponents — out-of-hand.
Scientists: Sun’s irregular ‘heartbeat’ could mean future freeze
“Scientists have made a discovery about the sun’s “heartbeat” that they say indicates that Earth’s Northern Hemisphere will experience a deep freeze in 15 years…”

No, Earth is not heading toward a ‘mini ice age’
“This week, warnings of an impending “mini ice age,” set to hit in the 2030s, have been circulating in the media. It’s a story that has caused shivers among the public, but there’s one problem: Climate scientists aren’t buying it…”

Global Warming: A Chilling Perspective
“Global warming started long before the “Industrial Revolution” and the invention of the internal combustion engine. Global warming began 18,000 years ago as the earth started warming its way out of the Pleistocene Ice Age — a time when much of North America, Europe, and Asia lay buried beneath great sheets of glacial ice.
“Earth’s climate and the biosphere have been in constant flux, dominated by ice ages and glaciers for the past several million years. We are currently enjoying a temporary reprieve from the deep freeze.
“Approximately every 100,000 years Earth’s climate warms up temporarily. These warm periods, called interglacial periods, appear to last approximately 15,000 to 20,000 years before regressing back to a cold ice age climate. At year 18,000 and counting our current interglacial vacation from the Ice Age is much nearer its end than its beginning…”
