The transgender “tipping point” we, as a society, reached with the recent unveiling of “Caitlyn” Jenner  has, quite logically, thanks to Rachel Dolezal, now become a conversation about what it means to be a transracial individual.

What this means for the future of “truth” and “reality” is unknown…

Rachel Dolezal has a right to be black

“Dolezal is disturbing for many people because she marks a cultural fault line. Like it or not, we have entered into an era of elective race — a time when people expect that one has a right and dignity to claim the identity of one’s choice… People allow Caitlyn Jenner to change because she has some biological basis for believing she is female. But is this all identity is? Are we prepared to accept the implications of this view? … We should not have to be slaves to the biological definition of identity, and we should not use race or gender identities as weapons to punish one another.”

From Jenner to Dolezal: One Trans Good, the Other Not So Much

“By far the most intellectually and politically interesting thing about the recent “exposé” of Spokane, WA, NAACP activist Rachel Dolezal’s racial status is the conundrum it has posed for racial identitarians who are also committed to defense of transgender identity… How do we know that Dolezal may not sense that she is “really” black in the same, involuntary way that many transgender people feel that they are “really” transgender?”

Try Switching Rachel Dolezal And Bruce Jenner In This Article

“For Jenner and, I fear, many other men, womanhood is mere stereotypical performance: jewelry, nails, clothing, and hair. It is not exposure to a sexually hostile world, or the mental work of cultivating dignity, fortitude and hope in the face of that hostility. Nevertheless, I hope the conversations we will surely have in the upcoming days about his “transgender status” will help us understand that there is no difference between pretending to be black and pretending to be a woman. Both are lies…”

If identity can be freely ‘chosen’ then it is not really identity. This is in effect the abolition of all identity.

This is just another symptom of the current unravelling of almost everything. The ‘If I want it then I must have it and no one can stop me’ syndrome.
I am so thankful that I was born in those dark ages when one couldn’t ‘choose’ one’s gender and race………such simple times.

    • We seem to be witnessing the death of objective reality. This could be problematic if taken too far. For example, someone who commits a murder and believes, in their mind, doing so is not a crime. Who’s to say? Perhaps we need to shut down the courts and disband the police, lest we pass judgement upon the truth or falsehood of what someone believes to be reality?

        Death of objective reality=madness.
Sure we have our subjective reality which is unavoidable, we only see our reality through our own eyes…….but up till now there was a widespread acceptance that objective reality overrode our subjective perceptions ie. do crime and a court will impose something and that something is real and justifiable and necessary…..no matter how right that action was in your mind.

  2. I think our society has fallen into madness. It’s becoming more insane every day.
