“On Independence Day, We Must Not Take Independence for Granted….

On Independence Day we need to celebrate the miracle of American independence. We need to remember that there are true threats to our nation both at home and abroad. We need to dedicate ourselves to ensuring that future generations will be able to celebrate Independence Day.

And on our Independence Day, we need to defend the independence of our front-line ally Israel.

The Middle East is in turmoil, again. As we write this, Egypt and Syria are melting down. These two countries border Israel. And these once quiet borders are quiet no more.

The threats to Israel’s independence have never been greater. And those that threaten Israel have us in their sights as well.

The brave young men and women who are standing on the front lines defending Israel are really defending us- America – from those who seek to destroy us both.

So on this 4th of July, we Praise God for the men and women of our military and the IDF as they defend us against common enemies and fight for our freedom.

We pray that you have a blessed and meaningful 4th of July. May we all take time to remember the true meaning of our Independence Day.”

US President and Patriot George Washington

US President and Patriot George Washington

1796 – US President George Washington on the dangers of foreign influence:

“Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government. But that jealousy to be useful must be impartial; else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it.”

“Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests.”

Disapproval [of Christian Zionism] by other Churches

Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism

Main article: Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism

“The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem (Catholic), the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, have recently joined together in order to proclaim and to publish the Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism (August 22, 2006). This Declaration rejects Christian Zionism for substituting a political-military program in place of the teachings of Jesus Christ. The statement is very critical of Christian Zionism because it views it as providing a worldview where the Gospel is identified with the ideology of empire, colonialism and militarism. Palestinian Christian leaders have also been very vocal in supporting the “Kairos Palestine” document calling for a boycott against Israel until it stops its discriminatory policies in the Palestinian territories.”

Nowhere in the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can support for Israel and Pharisaical Judaism be found. Jesus cursed and condemned both. Jesus considered Israel God’s whorish spouse and officially – covenantally – divorced her (see: MT 23:38). Jesus prophesied Israel’s destruction, the destruction of the Jewish temple, and said the kingdom of God would be taken away from the Jews and given to the Gentiles, which it was.

Christian Zionism substitutes a belligerent political-military program in place of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.” ~ Saint Paul (Galatians 1:6-9)

“But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?” ~ Saint Paul (Galatians 2:14)

“To live like Jews?” Greek: Ἱουδαΐ̀ζειν = “like a Jew” See:

Looking for Jesus?

“You won’t find him here. This is a site about Judaism, and Jews don’t believe in Jesus.

Jesus is simply not a part of Judaism. He is irrelevant to our religion. To ask a Jew, “why don’t you believe in Jesus?” is like asking a Christian, “why don’t you believe in Zeus?”

We don’t teach anything about Jesus, because he’s not part of our religion. In your religious institutions, you study your own religion; you don’t study every other religion in the world and explain why they’re wrong. We do the same. We don’t study why we don’t believe in Jesus, because he’s simply not a part of our religion. When we discuss Jesus, it’s usually in response to attempts to convert Jews, which are more common and more aggressive than most non-Jews realize.”

“When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict what Paul was saying and heaped abuse on him.” ~ Acts 13:45

“But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.” ~ Acts 13:50

“But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.” ~ Acts 14:2

“Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead.” ~ Acts 14:19

“For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all mankind by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But God’s wrath has come upon them at last!” ~ 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16
