The Democrats have no leadership, which has caused them to flounder. As progressives, Democrats should always be in control of the US Congress, moving America forward, although not the current, corrupt Democrat Party machine, nor the current crop of criminal Democrats currently residing in the US Congress.
As conservatives, Republicans should always be in the minority, acting as a brake to any run-away “progress” if and when necessary. Unfortunately for the GOP, I believe it’s recent purge of Ron Paul supporters in Tampa was the death knell of the GOP.
The GOP began just before the US Civil War, and I foresee its collapse after the second – soon to come – US Civil War, although I am hoping Summer of Justice 2013 DC will function as a positive, constructive, progressive, libertarian, socially minded alternative wherein both progressives and conservatives, looking for an alternative to civil war and despotism, can have a means of finding common ground, based upon natural law, which is what Dr. King based his (successful) social justice movement upon and is the philosophical basis of the Declaration of Independence, which the Summer of Justice intends to implement against the US government at this time.
We have the right, as the American People to ABOLISH our government once we are under an absolute despotism, which we have been under since October 2001, and we have the right for FORM whatever sort of government we wish, meaning we can form a parliament, as opposed to our ancient Roman system, as most all democracies in the world have, or whatever kind of government we wish.
“Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
