When it comes to law, we can’t regulate wisdom and kindness, but we can outlaw certain kinds of foolishness, if it’s evil behavior, and we can mandate a certain minimal standard of kindness.
With all that’s breaking loose in the world, especially with the London riots and with America’s zero confidence “government”, things are getting very ugly very quickly and will only get worse. People are not thinking at all, they are reacting, viscerally, toward others they fear, because they don’t know them.
The racial tensions in London have snapped and I will not be surprised to see them snap here, in America, as well. I am not at all racist and never have been, nor am I against immigration, considering we are all immigrants in America, except for the native Americans who, more than any people group, would have a right to be anti-immigrant if there where such a right.
It seems as though we are and will be living through the worst of times, worse even than the late 1960’s, before long, what with the depression, which IS what we have been in since 2008, the flood of immigration in America – 30,000,000 immigrants have come to America in the past ten years while America has been LOOSING jobs, the hatred of the “terrorist” Tea Party by the Left, the hatred of the Tea Party working class by elitists on the Right, the truth that Israel was behind the horror of September 11, 2001 is coming out, which will instigate a wave of anti-Semitism, the likes of which we have NEVER seen, because many (most) people will and already ARE, mistakenly, blaming all Jews for it rather than the criminals who actually plotted, then blew, those towers.
We can outlaw killing one another but it’s going to take a long time and a lot of work to help people to see the truth: that all men are brothers and that some men are evil but that most men are good.
The good is being overthrown by the evil, now, and has been for a long, long time, but the evil will soon be overthrown by the good. Once we get good people in government we can begin the long difficult societal work of learning about one another and of learning from one another, which will take a generation before we can see any real resulting progress toward the new and better world that it coming.
