HOW to END the FAILED “War on Drugs”

A. J. MacDonald, Jr. en la plaza en el centro Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico (2002)

I have visited Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, which is a lovely city with many wonderful and friendly inhabitants, but, unfortunately, due solely to marijuana prohibition in the US, the cartel war between the Nueva Federacion (CDG, la Familia, Sinaloa) and the Zetas over the border crossing of Ciudad Acuña in the state of Coahuila is now holding the population of this city hostage.

The cash from marijuana sales to the US market is where the cash the Mexican drug cartels need for venture capital comes from. And this (money from marijuana sales) is their ONLY venture capital source. How else do you think the cartels were able to expand into the (polyglot) drug, narcotic, human, and other shady illegal trafficking businesses that they are in today? Look up the term, please:”venture capital”. The Mexican DTO’s are using (and have been using!) the pot profit for FAR too long.

Legalize it already!!!!

We Americans (i.e., those US citizens who choose to buy and smoke pot) are the cartels’ BIGGEST investors! And the answer is NOT to stop smoking pot, as the government tells you you should (they need the dirty money too, you see, for re-election ads. And so do the big Wall Street banks, need the money, that is, because they profit by laundering the dirty drug money (e.g., Wachovia). Once marijuana is legalized, very unlike legalizing abortions—“Killing little babies and hurting poor moms LEGALLY since 1973!!”—people will STOP being hurt.

Why is everything SO backwards? Because good people do NOTHING.

Follow the links. The FBI tells congress all of this, it has for years. Do you think the politicians in DC care? So why are things still this way then? What’s keeping us from doing what’s right? As a nation–as a People? Our crooked politician don’t want us to? Who are they?

Anyways, it’s all business, economics, and money. No more venture capital no more cartels! Comprende? Not rocket science.

If you have read this far I have one question for you:

“Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, which is a lovely city with so many wonderful and friendly inhabitants, and which I have visited, is, because of the failed “War on Drugs”, being held hostage by the murderous drug cartels. The question is: Do you wish to free these people or do you not? In other words, do you agree with me, and with what I have said about HOW to END the FAILED “War on Drugs”? Or are you so obtuse (mentally slow) that you have failed to grasp the solution which I (and many others) am telling you is the only real solution to this deadly problem?”

Or do you just not care?

From the FBI:

“Marijuana: Mexico is the number one foreign supplier of marijuana abused in the United States. In fact, according to a 2008 inter-agency report, marijuana is the top revenue generator for Mexican DTOs—a cash crop that finances corruption and the carnage of violence year after year. The profits derived from marijuana trafficking—an industry with minimal overhead costs, controlled entirely by the traffickers—are used not only to finance other drug enterprises by Mexico’s poly-drug cartels, but also to pay recurring “business” expenses, purchase weapons, and bribe corrupt officials. Though the GOM has a robust eradication program, many of the military personnel traditionally assigned to eradicate marijuana and opium poppy have recently been diverted to the offensive against the cartels.” (See here.)

The Catholic church building (el edificio de la iglesia Catolica) in the background of the photo (above) is in Robert Rodriguez’s first film out of film school: “El Mariachi”, which cost less than $10,000 to make, as is much of the city, because the film was shot entirely on location in Ciudad Acuña. (I didn’t realize this until I saw the film.)
