The seven deadly sins

The Contrary Virtues were derived from the Psychomachia (“Battle for the Soul”), an epic poem written by Prudentius (c. 410). Practicing these virtues is alledged to protect one against temptation toward the Seven Deadly Sins: humility against pride, kindness against envy, abstinence against gluttony, chastity against lust, patience against anger, liberality against greed, and diligence against sloth. Virtually everything we’re taught about cosmology and evolution is wrong

The origins of the universe and life on earth are mysteries, yet modern science, in order to jettison God from our world, insists on providing pseudoscientific explanation for both of these, asserting these “explanations” as “facts”, and hiding the truth: science has no answers, other than mystical ones, which require faith to believe in, that are not scientific but religious… Continue reading

The national breakdown of rational and moral argument

Peoples today, especially university professors [my friend excluded], are not rational. In the universities, irrationality is praised, because they favor of deconstruction and postmodernism, contra The Enlightenment assumptions of reason and universally applicable moral standards.

Due to the intentional dumbing down of American school children over a period of many years many (most?) peoples are, in fact, quite incapable of reason, and wouldn’t know a valid rational argument if one bit them on the ass… Continue reading

Re: Violence – Let’s be intellectually honest, for a change… shall we?

The last quotation from the final page of The Order of Things does not allude to Sade by name. But, in association with the other passages and in context, there can be little doubt that the great cultural ‘mutation’ welcomed by Foucault refers directly to Sade’s moral philosophy and to its practice in actual life.” (Forbidden Knowledge, 246-247) Continue reading

Armed force BACK-UP needed for Summer of Justice

True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Without justice what are kingdoms but great bands of robbers?” ~ St Augustine

“I love Dr. King, and I have great respect for his non-violent philosophy, which I’m doing my best to imitate. But I’m not going to be gunned-down or allow anyone else to be gunned-dow.” ~ A. J. MacDonald, Jr.

“The last time I was detained by the authorities, in Washington, DC, I was told: ‘You’re walking a very fine line, and we don’t like that!’ To which I replied: ‘That’s my job!’” ~ A. J. MacDonald, Jr. Continue reading

Mexico – In the Body

As I was riding the bus through the northern Mexico desert last night, at sunset, I was thinking how odd I felt, and have felt lately. I feel very emotional… I cry, or tear-up, pretty often… just thinking about God, people, how brokenhearted he is over our condition, how he longs for us – but will not force us – to live and to walk and to act by faith, for the good of our neighbors, family, and friends, but it seems we are too busy with many things to do as God desires for us to do, which is only what is best for us… Continue reading

On being a peripatetic disciple of Christ

A peripatetic teacher, philosopher, theologian, preacher, or disciple is one who walks, or travels, while teaching… or one who, while traveling, by walking, who makes no home in any particular place, teaches and makes disciples, whether they be disciples of a school of philosophical or theological thought, or of Christ, which is what I seek to do wherever I am: make disciples, teaching them all that Jesus commanded us:

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inb the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 Continue reading

God and Sandy Hook?

During the last POTUS campaign our school children got one and only one message from our “leaders” and it was the worst message any school age child could ever get from their government, which is instrumental in forming their consciences: “Hey kids, just look at Wall Street and Libya…. Cheaters win and violence works!” Continue reading
