Justice for two (2) Martins? How?

“According to a Memphis jury’s verdict on December 8, 1999, in the wrongful death lawsuit of the King family versus Loyd Jowers “and other unknown co-conspirators,” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated by a conspiracy that included agencies of his own government. Almost 32 years after King’s murder at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis on April 4, 1968, a court extended the circle of responsibility for the assassination beyond the late scapegoat James Earl Ray to the United States government.” ~ Jim Douglass Continue reading

Nelson Mandela: The Man and the Myth

“At the end of the day… violence was the only weapon that would destroy apartheid.” ~ Nelson Mandela, 1959

“As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him. Always avoid violence. If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in your struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr., 1956

Hate, anger, revenge and the Christian counter-culture of love, compassion, and forgiveness

“The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

We have choices to make: Will we serve God or Satan? Will we choose Life or Death? Will we choose Liberty or Libertinism? Will we choose Law or Chaos? Will we choose Peace or War? Continue reading

The national breakdown of rational and moral argument

Peoples today, especially university professors [my friend excluded], are not rational. In the universities, irrationality is praised, because they favor of deconstruction and postmodernism, contra The Enlightenment assumptions of reason and universally applicable moral standards.

Due to the intentional dumbing down of American school children over a period of many years many (most?) peoples are, in fact, quite incapable of reason, and wouldn’t know a valid rational argument if one bit them on the ass… Continue reading

When the US Government uses violence to solve its problems it teaches others to do the same

“Even when pressed by the demands of inner truth, men do not easily assume the task of opposing their government’s policy, especially in time of war. Nor does the human spirit move without great difficulty against all the apathy of conformist thought within one’s own bosom and in the surrounding world. Moreover, when the issues at hand seem as perplexing as they often do in the case of this dreadful conflict, we are always on the verge of being mesmerized by uncertainty; but we must move on…” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr. Continue reading
