The separation of morals from government…
The separation of morals from government should never be sought, because the separation of morals from government is both undesirable and impossible… Continue reading

Suffering, in the plan of eternal Love, has a redemptive character
If the world were a random place to live in, then earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc could occur anywhere anytime, but they don’t. These occur in places and at times that follow a somewhat regular and orderly pattern as to time and place. If we choose to live in San Francisco, we know we risk being buried alive in an earthquake… if we choose to live in Oklahoma, we know we run the risk we run of being buried alive in a tornado… if we choose to live in Chicago, we know the risk we run of being shot… etc… Continue reading

The De-Christianization of Western Civilization?
Professor Benjamin Wiker argues that many peoples today are seeking to establish secularism as the official religion for the U.S. In fact, he says they are organizing the complete “de-Christianization” of Western Civilization, and plan to replace personal faith with the collective dependence on our federal government… Continue reading

The seven deadly sins
The Contrary Virtues were derived from the Psychomachia (“Battle for the Soul”), an epic poem written by Prudentius (c. 410). Practicing these virtues is alledged to protect one against temptation toward the Seven Deadly Sins: humility against pride, kindness against envy, abstinence against gluttony, chastity against lust, patience against anger, liberality against greed, and diligence against sloth. Is Angelina Jolie shilling for genetic bulldozers and psychotropic shopping malls?
“Certainly preemptively lopping off your breasts and changing your odds of getting breast cancer from 87% to 5% must feel like control. I don’t know that it’s brave but it is certainly human and understandable. But something else could easily come around the corner tomorrow and turn her world to rubble. I mean, it would be nice if life’s struggles and tragedies would all announce their likelihood in a medical test but that generally isn’t how it works… Angelina Jolie is a pretty big smoker, too, by the way.” Continue reading

STATEMENT ON THE KERMIT GOSNELL VERDICT
“Let this case serve as a warning to other abortionists who defy the law. None of them are immune from prosecution. We encourage abortionists around the nation, many of whom we know to be breaking the law, to get out of the abortion business now, before the authorities come for them and they share Gosnell’s fate” Continue reading

“O brave new world, that has such people in it!”
As I said in my book “The World Perceived” it doesn’t take much imagination to realize that if one can create an entire computer virtual world using a simple binary code of “1” and “0” God could certainly create the physical world using a simple code of “A”, “C”, “G”, “T” (= adenine, cytosine, guanine, and thymine). Likewise, scientists are doing the same thing. The question is “Do we have the wisdom needed to do this?” Continue reading

Kids can’t make gun noises in schools but the authorities can use guns while running full scale, realistic, and very scary active shooter drills in schools?
“WAVY-TV reports the 7-year-old boy was suspended for two days for a violation of the Suffolk school system’s zero-tolerance policy on weapons. He was playing with another student in class Friday at Driver Elementary. He heeded a teacher’s order to stop.
“The boy’s father says he believes school officials overreacted in suspending his son.
Suffolk Public Schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw says a pencil is considered a weapon when it’s pointed at someone in a threatening way and gunlike noises are made…
