The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action

“The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. And the wise among the people shall make many understand.” (Daniel 11:32-33)

Nearly forty years before 70 AD Jesus said: “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Luke 21:20-24

In 70 AD was The Jewish War wherein the Roman armies surrounded and then laid waste to the city of Jerusalem, along with its temple, just as Jesus described (in Luke 21 above).

“(Greek: Ἰουδαϊκοῦ πόλεμος, Ioudaikou polemos), also Judean War[1][2][3] in full Flavius Josephus’s Books of the History of the Jewish War against the Romans (Greek: Φλαβίου Ἰωσήπου ἱστορία Ἰουδαϊκοῦ πολέμου πρὸς Ῥωμαίους βιβλία, Phlabiou Iōsēpou historia Ioudaikou polemou pros Rōmaious biblia), also referred to in English as The Wars of the Jews and The History of the Destruction of Jerusalem, is a book written by the 1st century Jewish historian Josephus.

It is a description of Jewish history from the capture of Jerusalem by the Seleucid ruler Antiochus IV Epiphanes in 164 BC to the fall and destruction of Jerusalem in the First Jewish–Roman War in AD 70. The book was written about 75, originally in Josephus’s “paternal tongue”, probably Aramaic, though this version has not survived. It was later translated into Greek, probably under the supervision of Josephus himself.

The sources of knowledge that we have of the First Jewish–Roman War are: Josephus’s account, the Talmud (Gittin 57b), Midrash Eichah, and the Hebrew inscriptions on the Jewish coins minted.

The text also survives in an Old Slavonic version, as well as Hebrew which contains material not found in the Greek version, and which is missing other material found in the Greek version.[4]”

Al Aqsa mosque on the temple mount (Jerusalem trodden underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled)

“They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Luke 21:24

The Jews rejection, as a nation, of Messiah Jesus led to “the kingdom” being taken away from them and given (by God) to the Gentiles, who would bring forth good fruits, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. This rejection occurred at Christ’s first coming and will remain until just before (= nearly forty years) his second coming in judgement.

Satan is bound from deceiving the nations (= the Gentiles; ἔθνη) until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled and he is loosed for a short while in order that he might again deceive the nations (= the Gentiles; ἔθνη) who will gather against the Jews who, before the end of time, will turn to Christ as their Messiah.

“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.” Revelation 20: 1-3

“And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. ” Revelation 20:7-8

The Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet concerned the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple by the Roman armies in 70 AD, which can be understood by comparing Daniel 11 and Matthew 24 with Luke 21, along with the historical account of The Jewish War, which occurred in 70 AD:

“Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate. He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. And the wise among the people shall make many understand, though for some days they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder. When they stumble, they shall receive a little help. And many shall join themselves to them with flattery, and some of the wise shall stumble, so that they may be refined, purified, and made white, until the time of the end, for it still awaits the appointed time.” Daniel 11:31-35

“So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” Matthew 24:15-22)

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.

Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple

Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

Signs of the Close of the Age

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The Abomination of Desolation

But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

The Coming of the Son of Man

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Lesson of the Fig Tree

“From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Matthew 24 1:36

Gentiles are offered salvation and possession of the Kingdom of God only because Jews (i.e., national Israel) rejected Jesus Christ.

The Parable of the Tenants

“Hear another parable. There was a master of a house [God] who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants [Jews], and went into another country. When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants [prophets] to the tenants to get his fruit. And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. Finally he sent his son [Jesus] to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants [Gentiles]who will give him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you [Jews] and given to a people [Gentiles]producing its fruits. And the one who falls on this stone [Jesus] will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.” When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them. And although they were seeking to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because they held him to be a prophet (Matthew 21:33-46).

They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Luke 21:24

Jews pray at foundation of temple destroyed by Romans in 70 AD, which took from them their sacrificially-based religious system leaving the Gentiles to occupy the spot of their former temple, just as Jesus said.

God’s will for unrepentant and unbelieving Jews, and for Jerusalem, since the time of Christ: 1) They fell by the edge of the Roman sword in 70 AD; 2) They were led captive among all nations, especially Rome; 3) Jerusalem has been trodden underfoot by the Gentiles ever since and will continue to be until shortly before Judgement Day, which will be thousands of years from now.

Basically the times of the Gentiles extends from the time beginning roughly forty years after the Jew’s rejection of Christ (= 70 AD) until roughly forty years before Christ returns on the Great Day of Judgment (= unknown). Satan is bound from deceiving the nations throughout this period of time.

It is the Great Day of Judgment to which Jesus is referring in (Matthew 24) beginning with verse 36:

No One Knows That Day and Hour

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed, and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 24:36-51

In short, Christ and his Church are now victorious over sin, death, hell, the grave, and Satan. All peoples, including – especially – Jews, must repent and believe in Jesus Christ as LORD. Our mission today, because of what Christ has done for us, is for us to do as the prophet Daniel said we would do at this time in history: “The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. And the wise among the people shall make many understand” (Daniel 11:32-33).

As Jesus said: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

The future is now:

“The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. And the wise among the people shall make many understand.” (Daniel 11:32-33)

“The people who know their God” shall stand firm and take action. And the wise among the people “shall make many understand”. “The people who know their God” are the followers of Jesus who today are to “stand firm”, “take action”, and “make many understand” (Daniel 11:32-33).

“They will not hurt or destroy
on all my holy mountain;
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:9).

“The knowledge of the Lord” = Doing good to others and treating people as you would desire for them to treat you, which is a knowledge that is covering the earth at this time, otherwise known as: The Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is not to occur during some future millennium but is occurring now, and will continue until Jesus returns to judge all peoples.

The notion that God deals differently with Israel (= Jews) and the Church (= Christians) is a false theology, known as dispensationalism, which is a Judaized Christianity, or: Christian Zionism: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYWlB64upSc

According to the Bible, at the first coming of Christ, Satan was cast down from heaven to the earth (see: Revelation 12:1-12). Jerusalem is overthrown (70 A. D.) and the temple destroyed (just as Christ predicted it would be in Luke 21:20) by the Roman armies, which surrounded Jerusalem (i.e., “the abomination that makes desolate” and compare Luke 21:20 with Matthew 24:15). Upon the execution (by the Romans) of this final, official, covenantal rejection of Israel by Christ (see: Revelation 18:1-24 and Matthew 23:38) Satan is bound for 1,000 years (Greek: “a long time”; like us saying: “a gazillion years” see: Revelation 20:1-6) and the kingdom is taken away from Israel and given to the Gentiles, who will bring forth fruit (see: Matthew 21:43-44), until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled and Jerusalem is to be “trodden underfoot by the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled (Luke 21:24). The time of the Gentiles is fulfilled only when the gospel has gone into (saturated) all the earth (see: Matthew 24:14 and Habakkuk 2:14) and the Gentiles have turned away from and rejected Christ. Then Satan will be loosed in order to deceive all the Gentile nations and gather them together against the only “people of God” who remain on earth “the Jews” who, because they have faithfully kept their scriptures and traditions, await their soon-coming messiah (see: Romans 11) who will appear and destroy those nations that have been deceived to gather against God’s chosen ones, the heirs of the promise God made to Abraham (see: Genesis 12: 1-3 and Revelation 20:7-10). The living will be changed and the dead will rise (see: 2 Thessalonians 2) to be judged at Christ’s return and the Final Judgment occurs (see: Revelation 20:11-15). The old earth and heaven pass away and a new heaven and a new earth appear (see Revelation 21) much like a seed that must first die before it can become what it is ultimately supposed to be (see Romans 8).

Conclusions:

1) Present-day Israel is NOT the “camp of the saints” the “nations of the world” gather against in the book of Revelation, neither is present-day Israel now awaiting God (alone) to destroy their enemies (i.e., “the nations of the world”), which gather against them, as the Bible says God himself does: “And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:7-10, emphasis added). Present-day Israel (along with “Christian” America) is destroying Israel’s enemies now, today, NOT God. Israel’s enemies today, unlike Revelation 20, are not ALL the Gentile nations but only SOME of the Gentile nations (Palestinians/Muslims).

2) Satan is cast down to the earth at the first coming (birth) of Christ (see: Revelation 12). Satan is clearly the “accuser of the brethren” in the book of Job who goes to and fro both in heaven and on earth (see: Job 1) until he is cast down to the earth by Michael and his angels (see: Revelation 12). Satan is finally bound and cast into the bottomless pit so that he might deceive the nations no more (see: Revelation 20: 1-6). Christ, at his resurrection, defeated Satan and put him to an open shame (see: Colossians 2:8-15). Satan is loosed only for “a little while” (Greek: “mikron”) so that he might deceive the nations once more and gather them together against God, Christ, and God’s chosen people (the Jews, or Israel).

3) Our mission, as Gentiles who follow Christ, is to “Christianize” the Gentile world and to provoke the Jews (Israel) to envy or jealousy (see: Romans 11:14).

  1. Michael P says:

AJ, you are a very scary man! It’s people like you the world needs to be afraid of. The sane among us needs to stand up and fight religious bafoons like the Taliban and yourself.

You are obviously not a fan of true science and facts. You pretend to be, but you twist and turn facts until they fit your skewed, religious perspective.

It’s hard to fight people like you, as you are brainwashed through generations for hunredse of years. That’s why we still have religion, even if we have facts and science.

Religion is for the powerhungry, who exploits the week, the dumb, the naive, the unfortunate and those who does not know better.

Reading what you write is both hillarious and scary, and I fear you actually have readers who can’t see thru your made up “facts”, people who can’t see it’s all a load of BS.

I ask AJ and any visitor to this site to read this: http://on.wsj.com/WvDjDJ

Religion controls and ruins peoples lifes. People are exploited and killed in the name of religion.
I will do every little thing I can, to fight religion and save people from it.

  2. true science and facts? how old are you? 12?
